Five students from the Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University, have successfully qualified the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professorship held in December 2025, securing commendable All India Ranks.
Ms Anta Asim (AIR 20) and Mr Shoaib Khan (AIR 32) qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). In the NET category for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, Ms Aleesha Zaheer (AIR 38), Mr Darab Jameel (AIR 44) and Mr Maaz Ahmad (AIR 85) achieved notable ranks.
Prof Rashid Umar, Chairman of the Department of Geology, congratulated the students on their outstanding performance and said the achievement reflects their dedication and the department’s sustained commitment to academic excellence and research orientation.
